cartech manifold

Hey guys, i just got this to start my project :

i was fooling around mounting it on an engine ihave on a stand, making some measurements...... there is NO ROOM at all.. i cant even see how cartech puts a regular o trim t04 down there?!? the manifold sticks out about 2 inches farther than the stock one.

the problem is...... i wont be running a to4... im either running a sp63 or their new replacement for it SP SSGT800W (they say its smaller, spools faster and makes just as much hp)

i figure im going to have ot notch my frame rail. i cant fathom putting the turbo up top with a custom manifold. i cant see a place to run the 4 inch downpipe. so its going under.

the manifold i got is special, no wastegate provision. im going to run the wastegate right on top in the back, tial 46mm, with 1.5" piped into the exaust at the midpoiint of the car

So which way does cartech mount the unit, up or down? After you point that sucker down and add the wastegate, are you going to have enough drop for the oil return?

Also, what is all that crap inside of the manifold?! Better hope it doesn't decide to flake off...

Also, IMO, either a 4" DP is overkill or you would be better off getting a manifold built with equal length tubes and a wastegate port...

the turbo would mount down, its the highest mounting position of the turbo out of all the down manifolds, so i hope oil return will be fine

im going to have the manifold extrude honed on the inside before installation, thats how it came from cartech
the wastegate is going to be on the top side of the manifold, directy above the turbo,
