| Active Autowerks OBD-II Stage 2 Turbo question(s) Hey guys, got a question on a specific turbo, and would appreciate your thoughts on it. The car it would be going on is a '98 M3. http://www.activeautowerke.com/turbo...STG2-Turbo.asp Has anybody used this turbo? What is the lag like? Any reliability issues? The little sales pitch article states that power was made on stock internals, could it coincide with the below cam kit? http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...D=jccaischrick Or, am I wasting money purchasing the cam kit if I'm going to turbocharge it? Will the M3 rearend stand up to that power? I know I'll have to purchase an aftermarket clutch, what else would I be looking at after the purchase of the kit(s)? I really appreciate your fead back ![]()

| I have a Stage 1 OBD2 turbo kit but the Stage 2 turbo is much larger. Lag is still very minimal and should get full boost by 4000rpms. No reliability issues if its installed and maintain properly. The turbo kit will NOT work with the cam kit on the turner website. Best to stick with stock cams. Yes you will be wasting lots of money if you get the cam kit and then turbocharge it. The rear end can withstand that much power but if you're going to drag race it then I recommend the differential reinforcement kit from AA Tuning. I would get a SPEC Stage 3 clutch kit, transmission mounts, replace the flex disc with a new one, get a better suspension, and water injection as well. |

What sort of performance are you getting from the stage 1? Do you know of anybody running the stage 2? Thank you, I appreciate your input, helped a lot.

Hmmm... not sure I like the idea of a new product for that much, I don't want to be a bug tester, if you know what I mean. ![]()

| AA already has the Stage 2 OBD2 kit on one of their cars (the yellow M3) already and has been running for 3 months now. Essentially you wont be a bug tester if you do get this kit. Last edited by BMWGuy206 : 12-21-2003 at 11:40 AM. |
