| 0-60 times are not only based on horsepower. You must factor in traction. I dont know how fast my car is 0-60, but I can tell you it would be a HELL of a lot faster if i had wider tread (and if my clutch didnt slip.. bah). matt

| I get about 4.2 seconds out of my RMS supercharger kit. I found the Dinan setup to not make much difference below 4000 rpm, which means the 0-60 time isn't affected that much. I'd call 4.7 seconds ambitious, as well as their figure of 355hp. Mine dynod at 283 rwhp on a cool day. I believe torque, grip and gearing make a bigger impact on 0-60. HP makes a difference in 0-120 ![]() |

| All very good points i guess i should of explained myself better although i did want to know the est. 0-60. I guess i should of asked for more all around performance. So would anyone here know what would be the best performing supercharger. I plan on saving for one instead of going NA because the NA way will cost me to much in the long run...and recently i got taken for a ride in my friend's rms supercharged M Coupe....and it was seriously the fastest car i have ever been in, his best 1/4 was a 12.8 i dont know all of the 60ft times and stuff but i bet they were also pretty good. Blown M Coupe how much did that RMS set you back $? do you like it, hows it been running?

| triplebeam - I haven't run my RMS setup through the 1/4 mile, but my Dinan one got a 13.3 (it was my first drag event and the clutch started slipping after the second run!). FabM3 - The RMS kit is the best value and highest output of all the S/C kits I know of mainly because their large aftercooler allows more boost. I would recommend this system but advise you get a good mechanic as things CAN go wrong. If everything isn't done just right, the high boost can throw belts a lot, and require upgraded pulleys. I can't think of how much it set me back, but be sure to factor in the initial S/C kit, an oil cooler (essential) a more powerful clutch (also essential) and larger injectors. Once that's all done, expect a genuine 330-350rwhp and a pretty consistent, reliable delivery. |
