Well i guess thats out of the picture, I have been looking at the LinkPlus stand alone computer http://www.wave.co.nz/~hksnz/linkplus.html , i know someone with it on their 97 m3, is this a good solution? It lets you tune it on your laptop. Thanks, Maurice

If you notice I think he's OBDII unless he's swapped...but I wouldn't do the swap without the ignition anyhow. Last edited by braddman : 11-03-2003 at 02:08 PM. |

For our development car, we use a Delco system to manage our supercharger system. We've got a permanent cable from the computer into the cablin so a computer can be easily hooked up and tuned on the fly. Please note this is a total ECU replacement.

if you're looking for a piggy back that can be used with your bimmer, I'm definately sure that UNICHIP (Dastek) and SMT6 (Perfect Power) will work just perfect ![]() besides I used Apexi S-AFC for a while, but you can only manage the fuel ratios, and can't touch the timming with it, so I decided to go for UNICHIP

The Perfect Power looks great from price/feature from my pov. They retail the piggyback for 750+- but their stand alone is 1100, does anyone know if the standalone would be the way to go, the reason i don't like the unichip is because you cant get the tuning cable and software for it as far as i know, but the Perfect Power kits include the cable and software. http://www.idaautomotive.com/prices.asp
