| Korman Turbos Hey all! Anybody have any experiences with the Korman Turbo systems? I am planning to upgrade soon, and I wanted to know if it would be better to do a low-boost turbo system or do the N/A mods (schrick intake manifold, cams, big throttle body...etc). Thanks!

| I dont know about them. They kept changing the price on us when we had to rebuild a transmission. we agreed on like 800 something, and after verifying 3 times, we get there to drop it off and asked how much and they said 2700.... so yea.... plus, their turbo kits do not have intercoolers... they're very simple design and do not really give you as much power as they ought to. Plus, i seriously doubt that they have a turbo kit for the OBD2. Good Luck. My first and only obvious reaction would be to point you towards Active autowerke if you are looking for a turbo kit for your bmw... www.activeautowerke.com talk to Ray, he will answer all your questions... |

| The reason being that I asked about Korman first was the fact that they do have a kit for my car that is OBD2 compatible with an intercooler included. They claim is requires no modification to the computer or larger injectors....etc. The kit is about 6 grand I think. I know activeautowerke's reputation is spoken of very highly by you guys, but to my knowledge, they do not manufacture a kit for my vehicle. The Korman kit says it yields about 265bhp and 289lb/ft of torque with 6psi of boost...according to the webpage. This is right were I want to be as far as power goes. I know that with about 4 grand of N/A mods I can probably be right there as well. But boost is addcting, and I love the sound of the blow off valves....so I am kind of torn.

| Fuck Korman I think they just plain suck! Overpriced and all hype. I will never order from them. There turbo kits are way to expensive. Using stock injectors with 6 lbs of boost? Are they nuts? True, the same injectors are used on the E36 M3 (240hp to start with), so they are probably good for 280hp. However, I would switch to high flow injectors anyway. Better safe then sorry. There E30 turbo kit is a joke. 14.7 1/4 mile on a 2.7i? Terrible! www.activeautowerke.com That is your place. Go AA or m50b30/32
