20" ADV.1 10.1 One-Piece Forged Wheels in great condition!!! These lightweight wheels were custom made for a 2011 BMW M3 convertible, but will fit any e9x (model year 2008-present) BMW m3 model beautifully. One owner. I purchased these wheels new from Active Autowerke in Miami, FL...a well known BMW tuner and authorized ADV.1 retailer, and had them on the car for 29,000 miles before selling car. ADV.1 has many lines of wheels...if you look at their website, you will see that the one-piece forged are their finest model....don't settle for poorly made, heavy, and junky wheels on your Bimmer!

See Active AutowerkeŽ | BMW Performance Parts, Racing Inspired Tuning, Chip Software, Service, Upgrades & Accessories and ADV.1 - Welcome to ADV.1 for more information about the companies and their offerings.

MSRP Prices for these wheels/tires New when I purchased were:

2 Fronts: $2,900
2 Rears: $2,940
Tires 2 Front: $540
Tires 2 Rear: $520
When including shipping costs, taxes, and tire installation, balancing, etc The price for these same wheels/tires is over $7,000.

5 (five) tires are included in the sale, which retail at $520 front, and $540 rear. The additional 5th tire is a front size. Nitto Invo's in sizes 255/30 ZR20 92Y Front, and 295/25 ZR20 95W Rear. While wider than the factory wheels, these wheels fit beautifully on the e9x M3, and the size was specifically designed for the e90/2/3 BMW M3. The wider wheels allow for more aggressive performance and look than the OEM factory, while maintaining good ride comfort IMO.

Wheels do have some minor rash on the edges in several places. Rash was caused by the mounting of tires to the wheels by someone that I later found to have an incorrect mounting machine for this size. I never returned to that tire company. Wheels have not ever been "curbed," and have been cleaned solely with Griot's Garage products at VERY regular intervals usually every other day or 2 days. I polished and waxed them often using Griot's Garage Fine Hand Polish, Metal Polish, Wheel Cleaning Clay, and Best of Show Wax. They were mounted on the car for 29,000 miles of use, and wheels may retain the use of TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor) function if you added the correct valves, which is very simple for a tire company to complete with OEM BMW parts.

Wheels:
ADV.1 10.1 One-Piece Forged
Slight rash on edges, NO major damage
NOT Equipped with tire monitors for TPM car systems, however that is a simple change of the valve procedure.
Diameter: 20"
Width Front: 8.5"
Width Rear: 10.5"

Tires:
Nitto Invo
Front: 255/30 ZR20 92Y
Rear: 295/25 ZR20 95W
4 tires mounted with less than 1000 miles on them. Deep tread, great condition.
1 front tire brand new, never mounted included as a bonus.

Pictures of wheels on car are on a 2011 e93 BMW M3 Convertible. 2008+ models have same body style, and will fit similarly. The car in pictures is lowered on H&R sport springs, please see my other auction HERE for these springs.

Since the convertible carries about 450+ pounds of extra weight over the sedan/coupe, it naturally sits lower than the same spring/wheel combination will sit on a sedan or coupe. This is natural from the BMW factory. Therefore, Front Tires do scrape on LOWERED convertible on occasion due to lower ride height than coupe, only when wheel turned to lock and throttle gunned. Rear tires do not scrape on lowered cars, and none of the wheels will scrape if the car is on OEM factory suspension.
They scrape only when wheel turned fully to lock on convertible lowered with H&R sport springs, however I believe that they will not rub on coupe or sedan models even when lowered, since the convertible naturally sits lower than the other models due to the excess weight of the hardtop mechanism. Since I have not owned the sedan or coupe models, I cannot guarantee that they will not scrape when lowered, however it is minimal even on the convertible, so I expect it is unlikely. None of the scraping affects daily driving, and did not damage my car to my knowledge over 29,000 miles.

Wheels do not come with TPM (Tire Pressure monitor) sensors installed. This is a simple installation with genuine BMW parts, however you must do this in order to have TPM function. TPM valves not included in sale price, work must be completed by buyer.

Buyer pays shipping, please contact for shipping rates. Seller cannot ensure safe shipping, so I highly recommend paying for insurance when shipping. Please contact for further pictures or information.

I mounted my GoPro HD Hero2 to the rear bumper with the suction cup mount. I haven't heard of anyone else with my exhaust setup, so I doubt you will hear another M3 quite like this. As it sits now, the car has a custom AE Performance non-resonated x-pipe with HJS high flow cats followed with a Vanguard Performance Titanium cat-back exhaust.

The Vanguard cat-back by itself sounded amazing, no drone at all and really brought out the sound of the S65. I'd say the exhaust note was borderline exotic. Now, with the addition of the AE Performance X-Pipe, the car screams. The pitch is a bit higher, and while somewhat loud, the exhaust setup is completely livable. I've never received more compliments from other drivers on any of my previous cars.

As for the performance, yeah, it pulls quite a bit harder. I still need to get it on a dyno, but unfortunately I have no baseline to compare it to. With the HJS high flow cats, no check engine light is thrown. My car does not have an aftermarket tune, and I have no intention of getting one so as to preserve my warranty. So being able to run an HFC X-pipe without worry of a check engine light is a huge plus for me.

BMW E92 M3 Vanguard Cat Back & AE Performance HFC X-Pipe Runs - YouTube

I wanted to invite you to the upcoming NDIMA event.

NDIMA Class Information

National Domestic Import Motorsports Association is proud to release our 2012 series class breakdown and rules. These classes and rules are the culmination of a panel of seasoned racers ranging from grassroots to professional brought together to design an event focusing on the interests of the racers. The end result is a set of rules and classes with a place for racers of all levels to find competitive matchups where mechanical prowess and driving ability will fuel their path to the winner's circle.

Check out the nine classes below to see where you fit in, we'll see you on the track June 24th!!
The full rulebook is available on www.ndima.com.

Outlaw [DOMESTIC] vs Extreme [IMPORT]: $4,000 Total Payout
This is where the fastest door slammers around come to do battle. This is where you'll find the big tire guys running bottom 7s and nearly 200mph thru the traps.

Radial [DOMESTIC] vs Modified [IMPORT] : $3,000 Total Payout
Another class the fastest of the fast call home, these dedicated racecars typically run deep in the 8s boasting some of the most well tuned cars in the series.

275x [DOMESTIC] vs Hot Rod [IMPORT] : $2,700 Total Payout
275x vs Hot Rod pits some of the biggest crowd favorites against each other consistently producing 8 second times. Always a crowd favorite and a hotly contended class as both the import and domestics sides have well developed programs filling this class.

Street Warrior [DOMESTIC] vs Street Warrior [IMPORT] : $1,600 Total Payout
Another very popular class full of variety with AWD, RWD, & FWD all finding good races. Expect to see alot of low 9/high 8 second cars doing battle with the FWD guys touching into the 170+ traps.

Real Street [DOMESTIC] vs Real Street [IMPORT] : $1,200 Total Payout
These are cars you may actually find pulled up next to you at a light, not for long though, they're likely to blow your doors off as they regularly finish the qtr mile in under 10 seconds. This is where the import SFWD guys race vs some of the baddest street driven domestics around.

10.50 Index & 11.50 Index: $1,000 Total Payout (both classes combined)
These classes are for the grassroots guys pulling every ounce out of their street cars and making the transition into the open heads up classes. These classes give racers a chance at real heads up competition and gain experience as they become seasoned racers.

Quick 16 [BRACKET] : $350 Total Payout
Do you have the skill and consistency to run the same time every pass down the track? Our bracket class races line up the most consistent cars around to see has enough to make it to the finals and take the cash.

Call Out [1vs1]
This is a special event class just for those of you that have a score to settle. Shop vs Shop or Rival vs Rival, settle your differences on a nice long 1320ft strip of pavement.

Car Show Classes:
1. The car has to be warmed up.
2. The car has to be driven a few miles.
3. You must be at a complete stop on a level surface.
4. Turn traction control completely off.
5. Set transmission to S6 mode.
6. Push the console mounted shift lever forward and hold it in that position.
6. Floor the gas pedal past the detent switch under the pedal.
7. The RPMs will rise to 5500*.
8. When ready, release the center console lever and you'll launch...

*The launch RPM can be adjusted in 500 RPM increments by using the cruise control lever.

Please keep in mind that as long as you have the throttle to the floor, the computer will upshift at the rev limit. If you get out of the throttle you will have to manually upshift or the rev limiter will be hit.

This video was filmed on a closed, private road. Please do not attempt this in public.

I noticed three small droplets of oil on the floor of my garage today so I got under the Silver Car to check it out. It looks like there is an oil leak coming from the oil pan gasket...........but from the entire gasket...

I know on some cars, a failed CCV can cause high crankcase pressure and create leaks. It's my understanding that the Oil Separator Valve on the E36 serves the same purpose as a CCV. I have been noticing some higher oil consumption (a couple quarts per 5000 miles) which I believe is also a symptom of a failing OSV.

So here's my question: could a failed OSV cause what I'm seeing? A slight leak around most of the oil pan gasket?

Also, should the oil pan gasket be replaced after this? Or can it be reasonably expected to seal well after the pressure in the crankcase is relieved?

We will be traveling down south via the 101. The route is available by clicking the map on our homepage. We have arranged two pitstops: the first for gas and coffee and the second for lunch.

One thing I'm getting different numbers is the maintenance cost.

Every 5000km I'll need to get a check up. How much is that?

Also every month or so my brother is telling me that an oil check and somewhat other checks re necessary. Is that right? How much will that be?

Btw this is a z3 with 210,000 km on it so it's quite the oldie but my BMW specialist mechanic mate says that they are designed to run 400k km and
I'm planning to drive this till my full license.

Any figures or advice would be great

It ran a little sluggish at take off, got it home, about 5 miles, then read how to reset the DSC when I did the EML and the DSC lights went off. After disconnection the battery for about 30 seconds and reconnecting, the check engine light went off. The car then ran perfectly as always. Today those lights were back on and I had no luck following the same scenario as yesterday. Any suggestions and what does dealer repair cost for this problem?

its spring cleaning time

that undercarriage cleaned up nicely, hit pretty much everything down there with the pressure washer and then wiped down with degreaser

going to detail the interior first then get down to exterior business

my buddy working on his wheels

I plan on working on the paint quite a bit, ordered a touch up kit, claybar, polish, wax.

Before I get started with everything tough, many washes are in order

This has been bothering me for a long time, it is burnt up rubber stuck on the underside of the rear bumper.

It wont come off with the medium attachment from the pressure washer and id rather not use anything more powerful on paint.

It is all over the bottom and goes up around the lip of the wheel well.

Tried a few different tar remover products and they didnt work :bigcry:

I'll continue to post progress and some before and after pics when I'm finished

Lets see what the rest of you are up to!
