Help with Mods in England

Hey all,

Im soon going to be the proud owner of a cosmos black '97 E36 328is and cant wait.

My questions as i cant seem to find a good club or site for the uk are:

-Whats best suspension to go for? I dont want scrubbng and bangin etc, so i will modify the arch's if i realy need to?
-Best exhaust? i'v heard remus or supersprint? but iv always follwed the usa bmw community so i dont know how different it is for us englander's?
-Also engine tuning, what else i can add to improve performance?
-last of all anythin else helpfull to know

Thanks for any replies and help

hi, i have got a 97 328i sport too.
ebay is the best place to pick up genuine 1st/2nd hand parts.
i got asc blistein shocks n springs £245
remus acs backbox £255
CAI hybrid (dave f kit) a must! pulled 14bhp off a stock M3 on video. £165

then if you go to www.e36coupe.com and look for a member called alpina537, this guy makes modifed M50 intake manifolds, (as the M52 ones we have got are restricted). and also the BBTB.
both parts are roughly £450 then obviously fitting costs apply, get all those mods done and a live obd II remap from chipped uk about £300>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and the car will be a fookin animal. pushin perhaps 245bhp an a shitload o torque ar kid. for under £1200.

next im gonna try the supersprint de-cat and the T304 uprated exhaust spaghetti manifolds, then she's going for a dyno....

oh and some cams too, the M3 ones are quality.
and so are the shrick ones too. the rev limiter should peak 7325rpm.
with all the mods mentioned you should be able to run m3's all the way.

but the m52 328i is the sickest car ever created fuel consumption wise, mine does about 10-18mpg but its all down to how ya drive it. (on my 2nd diff!)

hope these posts answered your questions mate.

merry hill shopping center>>>>>? never been but i know where it is......

a track day has to be organised soon, or a day at santa pod (run what ya brung) 1/4 mile day.
have you brought your bimmer yet carty?

if ya aint yet>>>>>>>>>> check the engine bay noises for the water pump (sounding fooked) bmw installed the m52 engine with shite plastic propeller blades on the pump, which die after about 35-50k, check if it has been swapped for metal/aluminium ones coz if it packs up OVERHEAT big time.
inn addition the therm O stat also sticks as the housing is made of plastic AGAIN and this can cause major probs too.

other than tat there quality e36's

any pics of it?

with a full car load it only scrubs on speed bumbs, its pretty stable other than that.... but the handling is superb when racing, i think it was a 30mm drop

e36coupe are pretty slo, their admin maybe on holiday but its a good forum. the products for sale are pretty cheap and make huge gains on bhp too! its mainly uk/european cars on their, as US bmw's mainly on here are really different as u probably kno...
