As far as that camera goes, it seems like it would be decent, and as far as your price range your not going to be able to get anything spectacular. I'd look into the new JVC which records onto its own hard drive. and you can delete things you just recorded like a digital still camera. Also low weight is great, but its going to be less stable. And msot if not all cameras can take pictures and record video but you will find that you are rarley going to do that, the quality is not very good.

they go anywhere from 4 or $500 to $1000 which isnt bad considering. Just do your shoping around.
