Building a headrest mounted camera mount..

I'm loosely basing my plans off of this:

The main difference is that I dont want to use U bolts. I'm thinking of using a flat piece of metal stock with 4 holes drilled in it where the posts will go through.

Any reason why this wouldnt work?

If the holes are too big, I can use some O Rings to keep the vibration down.

make sure it is a thick bar, if it isnt the camera will bounce.
