Alpina B9

Guys,

I just picked up an Alpina E28 B9. however I am kinda worrind that it may not be the real deal. How do I verify the VIN that it is a real Alpina B9 and not a convert.

I'm not quite sure about this, so anyone could correct me, but look for an alpina plaque. If it doesn't exisit, it does not mean you did not buy an B9.
Heres an example. The plaque on this car is located on the dash

What kind of Alpina equipment does it have?

Im probably too late, but, in the door, should be no BMW sticker with the info. ALpina is a verified company that makes cars, thereofre the e28 is no longer a BMW, it is now an Alpina car. There should be an alpina plaque somewhere with all the specifications, you shouldnt find any BMW info anywhere

Since Alpina is its own manufacturer I believe it should have a diffrent vin. but I dont know WHEN Alpina became its own manufacturer.
