2002 Brake upgrade

Hello,

Picked up a 2002 from one of our customers. Going to turn it into a semi street/track machine. I would like some info on upgrading to rear disc. I think going to rear disc and new rotors/pads will suffice for such a light car. Anyone know what parts are needed? Sources?

Lee Vuong from the 2002FAQ Board recently had a group buy of a dynamite front brake kit. He might have some more available.

The trick with 2002's is to upgrade the front disc/caliper setup with bigger brakes (Volvo 240 calipers are sort of the "Stage 1") and install a 320i drum brake setup in the rear (backing plates, drums, cylinders and shoes).

Is the kit vented with a parking brake?

Interested, what all does the kit entail. I have access to great rotors being and OMP dealer so I would not need them or pads, just the main parts.

the kit includes, brake calipers custom caliper brackets made of aluminium braided steel brake lines, rotors by ate modified o2 hub's and at an exrta cost new bearings for the hubs.
