| Has anyone installed this after the fact? The dealer is telling me "oh there is a whole kit that includes some module and the kit and install costs $800" yet on http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=748 the "kit" costs just $319.95!!!!!! It's also on ebay for $50. So my guess is it really is just the cable and I can get it done at some good quality BMW shop. Anyone else done this? Can I just buy the cable and get it installed elsewhere? On a side note, is there anyway to change my nickname to Ewing328i now? ![]()

Requires programming that has to be done at a dealer. $800 sounds like a deal. It's in the mid 900's in this area.

| I bought a ipod adapter kit from bavauto.com; it's includes a cable that connects a pigtail in the trunk to a module that you mount under the seat. There's a cable from the module that connects to the bottom of the ipod. The one I got was less than $200. I put it in in about an hour or so. do a Google search on ipod integration + bmw
