is it a 3.5L? there is no way, maybe i missed where it said the displacement but a 3.5L turbo should be putting out more hp than that...

those times are pitiful. clear indication of bmw making thier new cars way too fucking heavy. put that engine in an e30 and it would run sub 5 second times to sixty without breaking a sweat. bmw has lost sight of what used they used to be all about. im not knocking you at all, but i just dont get what bmw is thinking. more displacement and forced induction that makes less power than the 3.2 L n/a s54....why....

Yeah i dont find it very BMWish to go F/I, but what ever times change things move on. I an confused as to why it is only 5.7 to sixty, still a lot slower than the IS350. They tuned the motor down, the 330 makes i think 256 hp, i think it should put out more power, being twin turbo.

What are you talking about???? How much does an e30 weigh? @ 2700lbs, How much does an e90 weigh? 3300 lbs, the 330ci is 15 lbs lighter than the e90! OK It is heavier, you are right..... but do this, compare te e30 to the e90, then comapre an a1 to an a3. 1st gen gti to a new gti..... do it with a jetta, do it with almost any car..... BMW has done an awesome job keeping weight down with all the safety standards we have over here. look at the weight of the new elise vs the weight of the old one (Banned in the us). Also, I don't think we have heard the last of bmw's engineering of this motor, i think there will be gaines before it is all said and done. Also there is no way those numbers are right.... they have to be less, 300+ bhp.... on 3300lbs...... not possible numbers. not freaking possible.

come on peoples they're not gonna make it just as fast or 0.2 seconds slower than an M3.

@ Project2002M50. From what i was hearing at first the 335i was supposed to be a 3.0 litre. (remember.. a e36 323i has a 2.5l displacment.. )

i'm sure it's tuned to be torquey and drivable which will bring down those hp numbers. caracas is right though, this thing is going to be nasty once some tuners get ahold of it and turn up the boost. i bet they'll be able to get over 400 on stock internals.

I can see where you get no F/I based on their newer cars but it isn't like BMW hasn't made turbocharged road cars before. Not to mention their old F1 history with the turbo 4 they had.
