That is what I was reading is that it is a 4 cylinder engine. I wonder what this means for the guys in the Speed Touring Car division. Wonder if they will switch from the 2.5L I-6 to a 4-banger, because they cant run the new 3.0L I-6.

the rules in speed world challenge will most likely change as new cars are permitted. The whole point of Speed world challenge is for the cars to remain as stock as possible so that they can represent their manufacturer as much as possible. once this car hits the states...expect some changes in the rule books. but you never know?!

I thought they ran 2.5L I6s in the E46 sedans in the Speed World Challenge touring class? Why can't they run I6s now?

I also can't wait to see the E90 M3 GTR...with a V8 rumored in the production car now, they will be able to race it in the GT class of the ALMS with a V8 and porsche won't be able to whine until they kick BMW out.

They do run the 2.5s right now. I believe, somebody correct me if I am wrong, the new E90 will only be offered with a 3.0L engine in both the 325 and 330. In Speed world challenge they have rules over engine size and I don't think you can run anymore than 2.8L.

I believe there some guys in Speed Touring running destroked engines. At least I know there were at one time.
