I wouldn't be disappointed at all -- have you ever driven a turbo M3? Or even a turbo 325 for that matter? As long as they keep the strength of the underlying engine intact, and just tack on a turbo on top of it, oh baby!

i agree.

another thing is this car will probably also be a lot more tuner friendly then the new m3. lets just hope everything is beefy enough for more boost.

does anyone know if the E90 has the same problem as the e36/e46 with the rear end ripping out of the body?

I can state for a fact that there is E90 335i parts in the new ETK we've received.
Parts shipped for E90s show 335i on them as well.

Its about time BMW built a car that with very little modification can own in a straight line (not that that's why buy them, but hey, it'll shut the mustang guys up pretty quickly).

With some suspension work and tuning, you could probably surpass a M3 with the 335 at a cheaper price if the rumored markup price of the new M3 is true...

This is a BMW tuner's dream though and is getting me serious consideration especially with all the high powered tuner cars coming out in the very near future

i dont understand how they are going to pull this off. A 335, which is gonna be a twin turbo? I believe it completely. I just think that it will be very close to the new M3, which is supposed to hav 400hp. Correct me if im wrong, bcuz i havent been following much about the new e90s other than the 330 and 325. Im sure it will hav more than 300 hp. People are easily going to figure out before long that they can surpass the e90 M3 figures by cranking up the boost and swapping out parts. I just wonder if sales are going to drop on the next gen M3.

Yeah, the only thing is that the average consumer doesnt know about a lot of this stuff. Out of the few who do know, even fewer would be willing to risk a warranty by spending a$$ loads of money for the parts and service needed to surpass an M3.

I would love for this to be true. Definitely have to add this car to the list of possible candidates for another car

with a 0-60 in 6 seconds? i dunno, but that's not a figure a 320hp+ car should do.

also i can't think but imagine what the price tag for this one will be.

btw, is this engine giong to be 3.5l or the same 3.0l?
