Raced an E46 M3

a stock e36 m3 will outhandle a stock e46 m3 all day long, hate to burst your bubble. the e46 m3 is the most disconnected car ive ever driven, it makes me feel like im in a mercedes. this car is supposed to be a race car yet is probaly the most unlike feeling race car out of all sports cars i have ever driven

The purpose of this thread is simply SM3 sharing his experience with racing one E46 M3 with the mods he has. He's obviously not saying he is faster than all of them, he is only saying he raced one and this is what happend. You guys are turning this thread into a war between E36 M3 and E46 M3s........lets give him props and move on, obviously he is not BSing on this, and none of you even the owners of the E46 M3s can possibly say that he is wrong because you have not raced him or a car that has the same EXACT mods, so how could you possibly know??

First off, re-read bad330's post.

i have a moded 330 and frankly the newer m3's arent that fast. my car runs about dead even with them. all i have is cold air intake exhaust stage 2 software and throttle body. and then me and Shakira and Britney spears all hop a cloud car to the moon for some delicious wildebeast wellington with extra spicy platypus sauce as franky muniz and martha stewart play out Debbie Does Dallas onstage. All while juggling medicine balls and spinning plates! It's awesome!

Did any of you read past the first line to see the seething sarcasm written all over this reply?

If your cars are that impressive, do you need to scoff at every person that doesn't believe it? Do you need to prove to everyone that your older body model car is superior to everyone?

Secondly, PortalBMW, warning system is off, but expect a bunch of points when it is re-instated. I guess you have a responsibility to put that e46 owner in his place, so it's my time to pass it on to you.

Bottom line, there are plenty, TONS of e36s and even e30s that can hand a e46 M3 its ass. Hell, there are turbo IS300s that can take m3s, turbo civics, all motor domestics, FI domestics... See the point?

A lot of simple car fans annoint the e46 m3 as God send machinery, but while it is a great car, it does not own the road, but then again, very few of you guys do. Don't hate on those fellow bimmer enthusiasts that don't know, educate.

Honestly, I hope none of you die in a horrific crash while trying to prove that your car is faster than a E46 M3.

Sorry, it was an interesting thread, and SM3, can't wait to see some dyno figures, the head and reworked compression sounds impressive, post em up on a new thread, but this one is going to have to end.
