What to replace a e46 M3 With? Pics Inside

Well the family e46 M3 had to go, so what does one get to replace it? How about a 1992 Porsche C2 Turbo?

I love the early to mid 90s Carreras. They sound so mean!

Because the M3, to me, was a big dissapointment, the car was lacking all that made the original M3 so much fun. We have owned e30, e36 and then the e46 M3, and it was my least favorite of the three and just had no soul. The car was vague, and just felt so disconected from the driver in every way, it did not inspire confidence and just seemed to be lacking all around.

And when you can sell a sporting car, to by a true collectable sports car then why not. The 911 C2 Turbo was produced in very limited number, 3808 world wide production, this is one of a handfull made in moss green, and it will out run a e46 M3 in just about every category, and most importantly it has soul.

Wow. Nice explination.

If you don't mind me asking...what did you think of the E36 M3? Opinions vs E30 and E46, etc. Thanks!

Is it really so bad ? The design E46 M3 seems so agressive and a true ///M of modern era...

I Love '91+ turbo 911's. How much is the one you are considering getting and what is the ballpark range for a '91 or '92 turbo?

That echos my opinion exactly, its just lacking that feel a great car has. It has power, but everywhere else its just not on par.

Ball park range for a good example of a C2 Turbo (91 and 92) would be between 35k and about 50k. If you can find one less than that it might have issues or you just got lucky, and I have seen prices above the 50k mark as well, but the tricky thing is they are so low produciton finding one for sale is not always easy. If you want the later modles the 3.6 Turbo or the Turbo S, well they are avaible too, but the premium you pay for those is much higher.

Prince,

My feelings on the other M's. Well I really like both the e36 and e30 M3's, and both had much more driver feedback than the e46. For daily driving duty I think the e36 and the wide torque curve is much more suitable, but If I had to choose just one car it would be the e30. The one we had was not the best example yet it was still so much fun to drive, and letting the S14 wind through the RPM's was a great feeling. I wish I could have taken it to the track, but I never got the chance. The e36 was fun at the track and it would be been much better if the brake had been able to stand up to the punishment of Kershaw SC.

To each his own, but the e46 M3 is not right for me....

What do you mean my price range, the C2 Turbo is already in the garage. No need to worry about buying it now.
