E46 M3 brakes are a no go..

Today i attempted to install my E46 M3 brakes, but much to my chagrin they don't fit damnit.. they work on the E36 M3, but i guess the spindle is different enough to where they won't work on the E30 M3. Oh well.. instead i'm going to trade them for an E36 M3 setup plus cash, though i'm considering IE 330's at this point..

damn alex tough break bro. that would have been a nice deal to get on there. So explain this, how can they fit on an E36 which fits on an E30 but not on the E30?

Well, my dad said that the tolerance is just closer on the E46 but enough to clear the E36 because they're designed with bigger parts naturally..

Well if you REALLY want to do it, just get the E36 spindles and modify them for the E30.

Accually, it's really not worth all the time when you can get a real big brake kit for under $2000 and have it all just bolt up.

I've been looking at the 6-pot terox kit from BMP, looks sweet! And it's like $1700.

Mike, you're right it's not really worth it.. i'm going to look into Ireland and UUC brakes very seriously right now. How are your Turner calipers?

Yea, with so much out there why spend all the time and $$ and never really be totally happy?

The TMS calipers are PERFECT for me. They have a ton more modulation, they are light, BIG pads, look cool, etc... It is my only option cuz I run 15in wheels at the track. Now if I only ran 17in then I would have the Terox kit.

But with my kit, the pads are CHEAP, and the rotors are CHEAP!
