| E46 M3 Top Speed (164) /// Is there a Limiter ????? I just wanted to know if anyone else that has broken in thier M3 in and opened it up. The reason I ask this is because last night on my drive back to SD from LA on the 5 right after the nuclear power plant(at night this stretch of highway if fairly dead, also I waited for a break between cars in front and the back to do this cause I don't have any intentions of hurting anyone) I hit 155. At this point I thought I hit the limiter, but it seemed as if the car could do more. I have a picture of the spedometer at 155 that is the only reason I know that I am positive I did 155. But when I was glancing down I think that it actually hit 157 at one point before I slowed down. So with this thought in my head I tried it again right before I got to Oceanside. I pulled over to the side and waited for another break between cars and gunned it. I surpassed the 155 so called limiter and went to 160. I want to say I topped out(cars getting too close) at 167 but I only have proof that I did 164, I took numerous pics and was mainly concentrating on the road so they are not that steady as they could be cause I rested the camera on the steering wheel. Pictures to follow as I left my camera in my car. My question is this I thought that there was a limiter on the car of 155 mph, If I'm wrong someone please drop me some knowledge. Thanks all |

| yes there is I did test it some times already Goes to 163 and sometimes a little more than that. I hope I can record it next time But I don't imagine it going over 165, it looked like it couldn't go that far |

| I went about 160mph on the way to Bend, Oregon. Car didn't seem like it wanted to go faster. The car sounded like it was going to Explode! KABOOOM!!!! But when are you going to go 160mph in Oregon. That's why you should have a fast car in a state that allows fast speeds. I recommend not going to OREGON for going fast. |

| the 57 is the best for high speed runs, even though my little car cant go that fast, 110 mph in my car seems pretty fast, not as cool as going 160 mph in vince's, but it isnt too bad considering i only have 110 hp.
