Whoohooo! E46 M3 comes in 3 kinds of black :D

Jet Black = True non metalic black
Saphire Black = metalic Jet Black
Carbon Black = Metalic Black with blue cast

I'm still going Jet Black

yea ive noticed on MY01s they have quite the blue tinge to them when they are a black car, hence the colour code 'blue/black'

looks like crap at certain angles.

Benz has 3 blacks too...

Black (non metallic) - Which is ehat I have
Opal Black - Blue Black (metallic)
Obsidian Black - (metallic)

In the 'Designo' range they have a 'Mocha Black' which is a black metallic paint that appears to have a brown pearl in it. Hard to describe but it looks BEAUTIFUL! Saw it on a CLA 320 Neeeeeeeeed!

I know my car isnt a BMW, but black is black .. is certain ways.

non-metallic black is a real pain to maintain.. especially if you want your car to look *bling* all the time..

If I had another chance, id have opted for metallic black instead of a non-metallic as it hides scratches/dirt alot more.
