please help out in decision E30M3 vs E46 M3

I don't like them on modern BMWs such as E36, E39, E46 etc, but they go well with older cars. I'd actually go with some classic BBS weaves of the day.

Porkyzilla, i remember the thread a long time ago about you wanting to order an E46 M3, and how everyone said you were too young. If you want that car so much, dont back out. Stick with it. Its gonna be tough to work all those hours, but it'll just make you appreciate your car more. Besides the E46 M3 is f*ckin bad ass. Go for the new M

Look youre comparing apples to oranges here. I have a 318 and although its slow, its fun to drive. I had an SVT Contour that outperfromed it in all aspects but I sold it for the Ti. The E30 M3 may be "outdated" but like women, its an acquired taste. The E46 is a Marketed status icon. The only way I will buy one is when they put a V8 in it. For that reason, Im getting another E36 M3 and putting a euro motor in it. May not be as flashy or impressive but its still a great car to drive. And comparing yourself to 90% of society, you still have a pretty damn nice car.

As for the E46 being overpowered for a 17 yr old, its true. NOTHING good can come from a kid owning that car. You can preach how careful youll be with it, but thats always sugarcoating. I was terrified of motorcycles and after a week of having a Ducati 748s I was riding harder than I ever thought of. Its your level of comfort that makes the experience necessary. Anyone can take the car to its limit, but its knowing how to control it if something happens that determines whether you wind up in a hospital bed or not. Listen to your conscience, not your ego...youll make the right choice. youre young and have plenty of time to enjoy nice cars. give yourself something to look forward to, trust me

well people i have made my decision in the 2nd page, its just that im thinking tha E30's are getting rarer by the day, and higher mileage, i just love the thought of an E30 they are so raw, but my its just the thought that i will say this i have never changed my mind about the 03 M3 i just love the E46 in every way, how you got a car so luxurious and fast at the same time, but i dont know if people can read, but my decision was to keep going for the E46 M3 and buy an E30 M3 later when i get the money get me an high mileage clean one and rebuild the motor, so anyways i was never backing out i just got ancy that one night. and getting me a temporary job till my business takes off.

if you can get the e46, defninitly go for it. Your 17 and will have a better car than many adults on here, im 15 and i wish i could be in that opportunity, but im not. But as they said earlier, if you get the 03 now, the only thing it will take to impress you when your older will be an exotic. Having one of the best cars in the world as a teenager will make u not appreciate it as much as when your older. Even though you work hard for it now. But good luck and its your choice.

PS- dont forget about a lot of the other good cars like maybe a wrx, or something that is half the price and still is very nice to own. Once again, your choice. good luck

Ever thought of maybe owning something other than a BMW? Just a thought. Maybe a Supra TT, or an RX-7. Those two cars are amazing, and cost a lot less than the E46 M3, and both can be modded for insane amounts of power. It seems that you want a lot of power. This is the route I would take if I were in your position

Only took you 6 days to reply..... I guess you lose your quick responses as you quest for the perfect vehicle to retard any driving enjoyment. Well, at least my car could be towed faster then yours can be driven.
