E46 M3 Exhaust Sound

I was wondering how many of you like or dislike the E46 M3 stock exhaust sound??

I dislike it. I can see why others like it, and it is not bad, but it just doesn't do anything for me. Ditto the stock M5 exhaust. If I was to own either, I would replace the exhaust systems with aftermarket makes, no doubt. Then again, "good" exhaust notes are relative.

For some reason, I think it sounds like the I6 in the MkIV Supra.

It sounds wierd. I can't explain the sound. It doesn't sound like it has a lot of power. I like B&B Triflow

I think it sounds like rice . . . no offense . . . E46 M3 is one of my favorite cars, but not the exhaust sound.

The engine noise is very unique in the E46///M3. However, it sounds tinny or almost like its hollow?.... But, at WOT the engine sounds much better. I'd like to hear what the aftermarket exhausts sound like
