E46 M3 vs. Z06

i was woundering if anybody had driven both of them and tell me what the have in common and different. i am looking to buy a car and im tring to decide between them. and if anyone know anything about the corvette......is there a real big difference in the Z06 and the C5?? i just went and drove the Z06 today and it really rocks ur world so i was woundering if the C5 is comparable...........thanks

A modded C5 maybe. But the Z06 will rip the E46M3 a new one...

Um. have you driven the "normal" C5? I haven't. But I know the Z06's quarter is .8 less than the C5...i'd get the z06

go with the m3... vettes are gas guzzlers... impractical, hard to drive.. becuz of immense torque and RWD. they are two seaters compare the BMW's 2+2. No trunk space... uncomfortable driving position.. and overall... i think bmw looks better and are more luxurious inside as well..

actually the new vettes get really good gas milage, i've seen upwards of 28mpg...not sure if thats z-06 or C5, but thats way better then what i get.

If your looking for raw power, speed and a absolute road monster, get the z-06, it will eat the m3.

But if your looking for refinement, class, style as well as a lot of power you can't go wrong with an m3.

if you're up to raw power and the growl of V8's then the ZO6 is the way to go. But as what TheFallen had said, overall appeal of the e46M3 is so overwhelming. More cargo space, better interior,
better safety features, stability, not to mention the quality of german engineering, etc. The M3 is so versatile.

The M3 is a better daily driver in almost every respect.

Vette's are cookie cutter cars.

The guy in the Z06 is a tool for not beating the M3. The cars should be even with a novice in the Z06 and a good driver in the M3. The vette is not a gas guzzler. It is not hard to drive because of massive torque and rwd. Doesnt that guy know that the M3 is RWD?! What a

. The vette has way more foot room than the M so the vette is more confortable. They both ride the same on the highway. I've ridden in and driven both and IMO the vette is more bearable as a daily driver. And if trunk space is that much of an issue to you then get a truck or a 5-series. You don't buy a sports car for its trunk space. You buy it for its power and handling characteristics. And you buy it because you like it.

For those of you that complain the vette has too much power and you can't handle it...go get a cavalier or something. That should be more up your alley.

although everyone loves the low rumble of an american V8 (not ford) its extremly fast, handles well, looks alright, but nothing beats the sound of a german masterpiece an BMW what i love most about bmw's during normal driving its as quiet as can be under light load you can barely hear the engine revvin up to redline, but as soon as you punch it it roars, so you get the best of both worlds but on an american V8 no matter how much of a low load you put on it, it just rumbles, not to mention only a 2 seater, so if you want to have more than 1 chick in your car too bad, but u can have a 3some int he bimmer haha, not to meantion only one person its gotta be gay

I'd take the Z06 over the M3, and the M5 over the Z06. Just test drove an M3 SMG and an M5 yesterday...both cars are so different. Wasn't really impressed with the M3, but the M5...DAMN. That car is awesome! If I ever get a BMW, it'll be an M5 for sure!

i would have more seriously considered a Z06 if i didn't have my son. now that i have the M i don't think i can part with it. the power is lacking severely in comparison to the Z and mods are impractical unless you have extra arms and legs laying around.

M3s turn heads....vettes are a dime a dozen and not enough aesthetic differences on the Z. the power superiority is undeniable though
