| Z06 by far.... i think its no contest. In MY OPINION i think that the z06 styling is excellent. It handles better and is faster in the 1/4. My dad has a modded Z06 and we LOVE IT. I have driven both and i prefer the Z06, and as far as gas guzzler, id say about 24-25mpg. If you want to spend about 3-5k after buying it you will be able to beat porsche's on the road. Only difference to me is that the M is more luxurious inside, as the Z06 is still luxury its not BMW luxury. |

no where did i say Z06s were a dime a dozen i said vettes were(implication C5s). heads up corky i wouldn't expect someone on your block to have one, civics are probably a rarity i don't think our friend here was asking for personal opinions but factual pros and cons based off differences. the Z06 is a powerhouse, but it screams chevy. the reliablity, comfort, luxury, and power that comes with the M3 is what makes it top choice IMO. i don't think anyone can honestly argue about which is more powerful, if thats your main concern than your question was answered before you asked it

it could have very easily been inferred by anyone with an IQ above their age that i was speaking of C5s due to use of terms and the mention of the aesthetic differences of the Z06 directly after. anymore nonsense up your sleeve?

| I see many more Z06s than I do M3s, but I am in NC as well. I must say the corvette's interior is cheesy at best. I think the M3 is much more worth the money if you plan to drive a car on the street. 1. Back Seat 2. Luggage Space 3. Looks 4. Luxury 5. Interior 6. The corvette will always be missing something compared to the M3. As far as the person being a tool that was beat by a M3 in his Z06 is a stupid comment. I bet a GOOD driver in a M3 good wax 95% of the people on this board in a Z06. In the end, your comparing an all out race car to a sports SEDAN! I think the M3 stacks up extremely well.

| Hey, I know you want some help on your decision but damn this should be clear already. Z06 or m3???!?! Two totally different cars. The z06 from what I have heard is in another league than the m3 performance wise. But the m3 is so much more than a performance car. Its a panty dropper. I wanted a more luxurious car I could go out with my friends in and also take to autocross and track events. Notice how the guy with the corvette chose the z06?? Notice how I chose the m3. Because we chose the right car for US not YOU. What kind of car are you looking for? An insane performance car or a 5 seater coupe with luxury and impressive performance? |

oh please....do tell me that you're going to throw in the game the few months of flawed engines that are being replaced by BMW. please do that.. it would make my day. prove to me everything that is wrong with the american education system

| A while back Car and Driver compared the E46 M3, Corvette Z06, and Porsche Boxter S. They looked at things like 1/4 mile, slallom times, skidpad, and a couple laps on a track. The corvette outperformed the M3 in most of the criteria but in the end Car and Driver ranked the M3 first, Z06 second, and the Porsche third. I think they are pretty close performance wise so it is really a pick of whether you want precise German refinement or cheesy American attempts at refinement.

| Theres not really even a choice involved. Z06 or M3? If you want to drag race Z06. Everything else M3. ![]() Its amazing to me that a car with 56% the engine of the Z06 is even worthy of performance comparisons. Thats some serious engineering BMW did. Imagine what they would do with a 5.7 liter engine? The v10 in the new M5 is what thats called. Brian |
