Euro e36 M3 vs e46 M3

While driving the E36 M3 for the last time today, on my way to pick up my new baby, i notice an E46 M3 behind me, give it a bit in third and he follow's.

We both stop at the traffic lights, compliment each other and lights go green, first, second and third was all it took, and all this in about 7 seconds, it was over and done with, my very last race

He won, by the legth of his bonnet, mind you he had three people in the car , and i was on my ownn

You win some, you lose some.

Cheers'
Serge

Man - you should've told me you were getting it from Parramatta! My friend's cousin is a head mechanic there and he can get a discount! It might only be a small discount but it's better than nothing!

Allen, i got $10.000 off the asking price and nearly ended up in a fight with some one else that wanted the car, wich later came back to apoligise to bmw and bought another car instead

Cheers,
Serge

Serge: I'm sure this racing took place on one of Sydney's three official off street tracks? We don't want any illegal racing activity on DTM, oh no!

Good stuff Serge. I can't wait to see the new beast

Autohaus do some very smart deals, especially on 2nd hand cars and demo's.

Considering the condition of your car (the M3), I'm sure they'll put it on their lot and sell it in the first day for quite a bit more than they gave you for it.

Were you in my street again this morning?

I only had 1 run at C&V whereas others got 2 or 3 runs, car was cold and exhaust not run in yet. Also Andrew from ALS says M3's need a few runs So I got 184KW from a warmed up car and runned in exhaust. Last time my exhaust was 30 mins old and had done 800m hehe and very cold car.

Just for comparison Babbos car got around 60 odd KW and a E46M3 has been dynoed at high 180's around 188KW stock.

Nicotine: I think your exhaust system sounds ****ing good. I wouldn't be changing it in the slightest. It absolutely howls when you work it through the gears.

An engine definitely changes in it's output as it settles. The Bavariacars E36 M3 turbo went from 502 to 510bhp at the flywheel after some hard use.

Blonde- I'm not changing the exhaust I love it. Nah its just that 2 months ago I did a dyno run one b4 and after but both times the conditions werent ideal as I tried to rush everything in and just get some numbers down so every1 has been wondering where I found the missing kilowatts.
I'll cyas at maceys

Yeah, OBDII especially can change the picture quite a bit... Just dyno the car the following day to a track day, now that will give you a pretty maximum figure...

I actually ended up with 64rwkw after we adjusted the throttle butterfly. It helps to have 100% throttle and WOT. 75% throttle doesn't do anyone much good...
