| E46 M3 Intake Mod Alright well I am home for the 3day weekend, so I was looking at our e46 m3, and trying to find things to make for it.
I think i have a good idea for a intake mod if your willing to cutup your stock airbox...
Basically the mod is the remove all the intake tubes/ducts after the rubber boot that connects MAF to plenum. Cut the MAF off as close as you can to the airbox (amking room to attach duct to that extra portion of the tube).
Once this is done, you can either run an inline filter with ducting down to the stock intake inlet location (drivers side duct) or just slap a tube with a K&N on it ducting down to the inlet. I have not tried it, but what I just mentioned are the "ghetto" versions of my design. The actual design I have in mind is a once [piece tube with an inline filter that ducts into a hamman style inlet (velocity stack built into air inlet). If anyone is willing to buy an extra airbox, I'll work with you and get one together to test. |
