| Something does not sound right. It does not sound like his system is all Dinan. He has things installed that Dinan does not offer for OBD2 SC. Maybe its not tuned properly. He has: Dinan powerdyne charger, HFM, Throttle Body, Schrick Intake Manifold, 30lb injectors, 12lb flywheel, and SS DTM Exhaust. Dinan does not do the following for OBD2 SC 30 lb injectors HFM Schrick for SC application The only option you get is a larger TB with an SC together with some software. Maybe if gets it tuned properly things will come out differently. Much like Hellred. mine can keep up with an E46 M3.

| hellred i didnt go down the lidt and state all my mods on it ,i had some internalwork done as well, lightened knife edged crank, pistons, cams, etc i dont like to sit here and type all of it in its like braging wich im not into,it was my toy even though my insurance screwed me when it got stolen anyway,as far as dinnan goes i told u the setup is nice their software sucks.now i got a e46 i think with your setup u will run him for its money up to 4th after that the higher u go it will pull u trust me i ran my cousins.as far as the torque goes gerry, torque will get u off the line horsepower wins races. |

| unvmym3, Not all cars are created equal. I ran my E36 against the E46 from 70 all the way to 150. When we launched at 70, I was about half a car ahead. As I shifted from 4th to 5th, I gained maybe 3 feet on him. I knew I did because I started seeing the glair of a Xenon light in my rearview, which made things hairy at 140+! It was at night, and it was about 70 or so degrees out. I was more concerned about down low than up top. My car gains power with the ram air effect. So 5th just goes till I run out of gearing. You know... The driver in the other car is a friend, and also a an SCCA race car driver, so he's no slouch. He also had a custom short shifter made, with H&R springs in. When we got to our destination, he ignored me for about 30 minutes, till he finally gave in, and said that I won. Now things would be different because I changed my car around. |

| Gotta say BS on this, esp if the system were well tuned. It goes against how a centrifugal will match up to the M3 engine. Unless the engine is _severely_ choked off at high rpms (didja put really mild cams in?), the blower is well undersized, or the blower is spun faster and clutched to limit boost, horsepower will outshine torque by a great margin. You are talking about a Powerdyne/Vortech type blower right, not an Autorotor, Eaton, Whipple, etc? - Beau Quote:
