I used to work for BMW so I know the type of shit that goes on. A friend of mine who was a C level technician was doing burnouts and donuts in a guys 528i sport 5 speed and completely blew the guys tranny. I dont know how he did it but I know the tranny just went.
The ****ed up thing is he said the car came like that and the service manager blamed the owner for it and they ended up making the owner pay. This all happened at BMW of Manhattan, let me tell you that is the worst dealership you could ever go to.
I had a '99 m3 which I snapped a diff bolt on. I didn't buy the M3 at BMW of Manhattan but it is the closest dealership to me so I had it flat bedded there. Do you believe that those scumbags tried to make me pay b/c they said "BMW doesnt cover failures caused by abuse and/or drag racing" I was like WHAT THE ****!!!!!!
I knew the service manager (I wasnt working there anymore though), and those ****in pricks tried to make me pay for it. To top it off while my car was there some ****in idiot put a huge dent on the side which needed body work and repainting. Dicks wouldnt give me a loaner car either b/c "I didnt buy it there"
A service writer who was my friend told me to charge the payment to a family members credit card and then have that family member dispute it saying that they didnt authorize me to use the card. He said he has done it before and it always works with getting out of bs service shit like that. Anyway I did that and it worked out great so I got back at those scumbags some how.
I will never own a Lexus no matter how good there service is b/c I just hate that company and how all they do is copy German marque's. Too bad that BMW has to be sooo shitty though, guess there is always Benz or Audi
