| high compression I'm just speculating but high compression (11.3?) with the combination of high rate of failure plus having to retune not one but 2 ecu's (what Karl tells me)... will make this a difficult task. I don't doubt that you can put some boost on it perhaps 5-6psi but I don't think we'll be seeing big turbos or S/C's on these cars. ![]() Charles |

| G-Power has a SC for the E46 M3, but with all the engine failures recently, I would be very worried about installing any type of FI on that engine. |

| After all - he drives a BMW 2002 with 400HP and his dad drives a 2002 with 700+ horsepower... both are 2.0L turbos. Thanks for turbocharging my car too ![]()

AND 700+ HP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woah can you give us the details (and pics) on the boost setup you got runnin on these cars? Brian |

| Well actually they are here. Details of the 400HP 2002 aren't up but the 700+hp 2002 are easy to find. I remember at one dyno run, it was making 400bhp on 4psi (not a typo). "2002 turbo" owns the ~400hp 2002 and he's currently redoing all the electrical wiring, gauges, etc and air filter setup so he'll prolly do a dyno run after everything is ready and then it'll be on the website. He took me for a drive in it before and I almost shat myself Almost 400hp in a car weighing around a tonne! ![]()

I'd be interested to know these items as 650+hp is a ton from that small of a motor. |

Gotta remember it's a race car and so not driveable with low revs... I remember him saying anything less than 5000rpm and it's not going anywhere. It revs up to around 9000rpm. CR = no idea! Fuel = AVGAS

A very bad idea in my opinion. As what was said earlier, you would need to rebuild that motor for lower compression. And at that, even BMW is not able to perfect this engine yet, let alone running a few lbs of boost through it. Not to mention the fact that you would lose your warranty on it, and this is NOT an engine you would want to have without a warranty. If you really want forced induction I would recommend doing it on a different car.

Thanks. It is the BMW LTW/GT front splitter. I got mine from www.motorsportimports.com
