| IMHO I think the 2 door BMWs look much more sporty. Though I did have a 4 door before ![]() |

| I dont think the ///M spirit would be tarnished by 4 doors (///M5 is a damn good representation of BMW///Mpower), BUT I do believe that the ///M3 in essence and true form should be 2 doors. Its original intention was for performance and racing. ///M has strayed greatly with its ever-so-much-heavier cars and luxurious interiors. I have nothing against them, but to my understanding of what the ///M3 was built for, it should be better suited as a coupe. My cousin has a 4 door E36 ///m3 and I love it, Im only judging on what the primary aim of the ///M3 was, not on my personal aesthetic opinion. I dont really care about how the car looks as a car, but the ///M3 should, IMO, be a 2 door, but I understand the marketing stance that ///M has taken in the last decade and the need to cater to the people with money and no understanding of racing (yuppies) so I dont really care. As long as we have our 2 doors, Im cool. Let BMW make more money, as it is my preacher and my church that I actually believe in. Note* I have nothing against 4 door ///M3s. I was just voicing my personal opinion on what the ///m3 was FIRST traditionally built for. ok? ![]()

| personally i love the looks of 4 door BMWs. of course i love coupes but look at some of the properly modded 4s. theyre hot! and then the BTCC cars and other touring cars are usually 4drs, is that by choice or do they have to be sedans to competea little ot, but i always hear that the 4dr is more rigid than the 2. is this true? or does it very model to model?

| 4 doors rule in evry kind of car. A 4 door car lowerd looks so much better than a 2 door. And insurance is less... so we win in both categories.

| It is not often you can have your ass handed to you in a 4 door, because it seems like everyone wants a 2 door. I love the 4 doors. They are sweet. I think an E46 4-dr would be plain ruthless. ![]() |

| i prefer two doors over four. However, i was once told that (i think this is true) the real motorsport cars that they use in races are the 4 door chassis. the longer roofline creates less vortex air resistance, i think. |
| |||
| i always thought the reason they use 4 drs in motorsport is because the roof and door frames are stiffer than in a 2 dr. makes sense when you look at it. but as far as esthetics, i'll take a 2-dr anyday. want a 4-dr? get an M5. i think the 4dr e46's look too round and goofy anyway. |
