why does teh E46 m3 have such low torque?

well you look at its horsepower and its torque why is there such a difference, why is it so low? what is the cheapest way i can increase torque?

the torque is low, simply, because its a relatively small displacement motor that is naturally aspirated; the HP # is high because of the engines high redline.

Increasing lowend torque, if even possible, would lower your top end, really, only a turbo is going to give you tree stump pulling torque.
