Lower Control Arm Bushing 325i

Both of my lower control arm bushings have worn out. I have spoken to a friend of mine and he says it's better to change out the control arm along with the instead of just the bushings and the bracket.

1. Can I just change the bushings out without the control arm? Don't feel like spending $200 on new control arm.

2. Is it worth buying polyutherane when the car is completely stock?

3. If polyutherane is worth is where can I purchase them? I have had no luck on pelicanparts & bavarian.

Thank you for any advice and/or help you provide. It is much appreciated...
