e46 m3 hood on 3 series?

im not sure if this is a dumb question but im curious to know if the m3 hood will fit on the new style m series with the face lift (04 and up).
i have good knowledge on the e36 m3's because i have a shop and i part them out all the time and sell parts. now im starting to move on with the equity i built and im thinking of parting out the e46 m3's aswell as the e36, im just beginning all my research on the e46 right now and im hoping to get one in my shop to part out asap.

An e46 M3 hood on a regular e46 (I'm assuming coupe)? I'm not sure on that one. I know that it will not fit on a pre-facelift e46 coupe because my cousin bought a CF M3 hood for his 2001 330i, which didn't fit and is now just sitting in storage, but I'm not sure if it will fit a facelifted car. I kind of doubt that it will, but don't quote me on that.
