Thats regarding my best friend E46 M3...his ride now days when his start the engine,the engine shaking very serious.So my friend send his M3 to shop.After checking then the worker there told him to change the whole vanos sets...the quastion is why the vanos can't do a service?is that vanos can be at fault then effect to the engine shaking and almost 50% power r losing...Guys Pls help mi to solve this probelm wif yr all experience...thanx.

Well it sounds like you need to really check out the engine codes to make sure that you don't really ruin the engine.

Your friend needs to actually have it thoroughly checked out by a BMW dealer who has the proper software and knowledge of the car.
