| best tire ideas...? will be receiving my new rims in less than a month (19" DCR Catalunya's) and don't know what tires I should put on them? I am going to get 275x30 in the back and 245x35 in the front... I don't track the car and I want something that is not going to break my wallet even more than the rims, but something that looks good and performs flawlessly. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!!! |

| the t1rs are terrible tires. In fact toyo's A/S out perform their "performance t1r" 's the general uhp are great tires that are cheap with great treadwear (made by continental and rebranded to general) f1's are awesome tires as well ps2's to say they have good grip is an understatement they have great grip http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...y_f1_gs_ds.pdf there's an 11 tire shootout

| I have the KDW's on the S4 - amazing tire, maybe a bit noisey but not a concern of mine. I'm decideing right now wether to get another set for the M3, or try the general UHP's |

| I had the generals UHP on my E36 M3 great tread wear and really good in the wet. Now on my E46 M3 I am running the Bridgestone REO1-R, they are awesome tires, very sticky but tread wear is way below average. The price I think is great though for a 19" tire. |

| Drake_M3 what tires did you go with? I simply replaced my Pirelli's.

| so which ones do you like better?? |

| Depends on what you want out of a tire. If you want something that is going to last and not all about performance than go with the Generals. If all you care about is performance and don't really care about tread life than go REO1-R. I personally like the REO1-R but I track my car and want as much performance as possible. I will tell you I just had the RE01-Rs out on track this last weekend and these tires stick. I had no trouble keeping up with guys running on r-comps. Plus they really wore quite well for how hard I was on them. |
