| Complicated??? Guys I am new here at DTM...I was wondering about this...If someone buys CSL Trunk..or CSL bumper..or a CSL rear diffuser...and its carbon fiber and their are some parts of that specific part of the CSL..do you have paint on top of the carbon fiber part...I need help????? |

| I wouldn't paint the carbon fiber, that's what make's the CSL awsome. Plus the carbon fiber should have a protective gloss to protect it from the elements so it won't fade. |

| Actually, it depends if the resin used in fabrication is UV resistant or not (one cause of yellowing), but even so, in most cases -the laminate will have subtle variations that may be detracting to the overall viewing experience even under manufacturer claims (they probably don't fabricate it, so how would they know?). Don't skimp on your investment because of its current appearance. I'd lay down a layer or two of clearcoat just to be certain. Plus, a deeper look can be achieved by using successively finer and finer grit sandpaper and wet sanding: wet sand, spray clear, polish, wet sand, spray clear, polish and so forth...until the desired depth is met, but that depends on the quality of finisher. Hope this helps.

| Yes, the carbon fiber will break down quicker because of it's lack of resistance to UV rays, and other elements. I would at least clear it but make sure you use some flex in the clear and some adhesion promoter over the cf first.
