Color for E46 M3? Looking for pics...

My dad is trying to decide what Individual color to get for his M3, Avus Blue, Sterling Grey, or maybe something else.

1) Which would you choose?
2) Please post pictures of Sterling Grey cars (don't have to be of a M3)
3) If you suggest a different Individual color, please post a pic of it on any BMW.

I really think that it looks good on that car. And I know you probably won't see anymore of them around here. I do however say that of all the colors out there now, Phoenix Yellow and the Sterling Grey are my favorites.

i put stock color only b/c i think that the price you pay for individual is way too much.. sterling gray looks good, but i could see how it would be too dull sometimes and in different light.. avus blue IS great, and it IS my favorite color but its too similar to the other blues.

i'd take ANY color on the E46 M3 but i feel like i'd be most happy with Alpine White.. i saw one in the city one day and i couldnt keep my eyes off of it.. i was talking to this girl and i couldnt pay any attention to her.. alpine white looks good in any light, non-metallic, and nice simple understated..

looks great with snow too..

i agree with dank. individual is nice, and sterling gray looks very good, but it looks a lot like steel gray, to me atleast. for some reason i think white looks best on M3s, you notice the lines of the car much more.

Nick, I think your dad should get a more traditional color. I like the white color myself. For some reason it makes the car look more classy than the other colors do. Since it is for your dad I think it would suit him better to get either the Sterling Silver or the white. The Avus Blue is more for a younger guy.

But I think your dad would be happier with an M5 over the M3, particularly since it will be his daily driver. My car is kinda inconvenient for me to use as a daily driver compared to the sedan I had before. But that will be for him to decide.

The point of this is that he wants a special color... one that will not be common, and also one that he likes more than the other colors. He likes avus blue a lot... and as far as it being for a younger guy, be glad I convinced him out of getting Dakar II!!! That was his first choice
