E46 M3 Rassssspy :) :)

You guys, im getting very close to getting an M3 in december. First of all, fcuk this rasp. lol. I am planning to get the Rasp-x midpipe to get rid of that crappy sound.

Is this something worth buying? Anything else taht has better results? And also, what exhausts are there that make the car sound VERY different than what it now sounds like? Any sound clips, sites, pics are welcome. Please help me here! What can be done to terminate rasp and sound UNIQUE, (something like a little lighter, stronger tone, like the new m5? I know its not possible to match an i-6 to a v10 sound, but i want something like that pitch sound.) TY (even if i have to modify stuff)

I have heard a couple e46 m3 with complete super sprint exhaust system (headers, resonators, and muffler) and it sounds very nice and deep. It's expensive but that's how everything is with BMW parts.

can someone post up a sound clip of what that would sound like. I have a video from leonutz.de or something like that, exhaust comparisons, but ALL have the freakin rasp, and the ss sounds same too.

Could i do the SS combo WITH a raspx?

The rasp is awesome, I don't why you would take a distinct sound away from the E46 M.

i'm sure no one has tried it on a bmw, but my buddy put an ATR exhaust on this WRX, the thing sounds wicked, like no other 4 cylinder i've heard in my life

its really low and wicked sounding

you could try thier pitbull mufflers, no bets though

IMO, The rasp makes it sound faster & better. But if you really dont like the rasp than go ahead and get it, you'll get a 325i type sound by the sound of the video.

Get a stebro midpipe... completely eliminates the rasp...sounds really deep... gixxerkid over on m3forum has this set up...theres currently a group buy on it... about $500 plus shipping... cheap..mandrel bent... can't beat that. Take that midpipe... add a gruppe M Titanium exhaust, supersprint race...B&B.. you'll have a loud deep setup.
