| E46 328ci VS. E46 M3, Its all in the nerves I raced a M3 this week. I saw him trying to get on the highway near my house but he got stuck at the light. Being the sportsman I am, I pulled over and waited for his ass. He knew what I was doing as he approached, lol. I pulled into the right lane and he blasted by me, sounded like he was doing about 6500 rpm. I was like hell no, no way to catch this guy but I gunned it anyway. He figured he had me but I pulled on him doing about 110. As soon as I looked over he started gassing it again. THE HIGHWAY WAS EMPTY. IT WAS LIKE THE SCENE WAS SETUP FOR US. As I approached speeds of 130 I started pullin away. I was shocked, I hit about 138 when I realized he was still going about 120. I left him but it was not a test of the cars, it was a test of the drivers. I mean, there is not much difference between 120 and 140 , safety wise.
After about 2 miles I slowed to 70 and waited for him. The guy was like 45 and I know his heart was beating a mile a minute. I smile, he waived then I took off again.
Point is that sometimes it is the drivers nerve that causes the loss and there is no way to truely compare cars untill they are at the track cause there is no way I should have been in front and I know this. My car isnt stock, but it isnt a //M |
