Mainly because of the tough U.S. automobile safety standards and regulations (carbon fiber roof, etc.) Besides, production of the CSL has already ceased. The closest thing to the CSL available to North America will be the 2005 E46 M3 with the ZCS (Club Sport Package) -which, IMO is still a far cry.

Unfortunately you're incorrect.

Parking sensors/assist was an option on the CSL and most CSL's here in the Uk have this option.

Look closely at the interior of the black car. That is is a complete CSL interior. Also after carefully looking at the rear headrests, you can see that the material is alcantara, again CSL.

What may make people disbelieve it's a CSL is those god awefull wheels!!

What makes people disbelieve it's a CSL is the fact that the title of this thread is "...Saphire Black M3 Dressed Like CSL".

The CF parts have no relation to reducing the safty of the automobile. Which do you think is safer, a CF roof (reinforced by steel) or the softtop of a 'vert?

As with most of BMW's more "special" cars (E36 M3 EVO, GT, E30 M3 EVO, Coecetto, etc) there's less of a market in the US for such cars. Look at the M3 LTW. When the car first came out I know of more than a few which were sitting on showroom floors for months because the people who buy BMWs (especially NEW BMWs) want them for their luxury more than their track prowess.
