BMW M3-Rückruf: Motoren halten nicht

Da zahlreiche Motoren der aktuellen BMW M3-Baureihe von Motorschäden geplagt werden, bessert BMW die Hochleistungstriebwerke auf Kulanz nach. Von den rund 60.000 weltweit verkauften Fahrzeugen des BMW M3, Typ E46, muss BMW rund die Hälfte zu Nachsorgemaßnahmen in die Werkstätten zurückbeordern.

Bei einer ersten Serie kurz nach der Markteinführung wurden die Ölpumpen getauscht, bei der noch andauernden Folgeaktion werden die Kurbelwellenlagerschalen getauscht. Alle Halter der betroffenen M3-Modelle werden von BMW direkt angeschrieben.

Key thing here is - it sez that all affected owners will be directly contacted by bmw.

It is way old, as it effects 2002 models...I know mine that i bought used had the engine replaced because of it...
