| dont forget the guy who rolled his E46 M3 Cab over a cliff. i think some people don't realize how much car the M3 really is. i mean, if i had an M3 at 16, i probably wouldnt be here typing (either dead or in jail). i can now appreciate my clunker '84 volvo that got me thru high school. a whopping 114 hp kept in my in line for my first formative driving years. it wasnt a screamer, but i learned basic vehicle handling dynamics with that car, and the fruits of rwd. i bitched at my parents then, but i commend them now for doing what they did. im just rambling... |

| dude... just becarful as hell 99% of the time. Its not so much you being a bad driver but others. Here is what I recall: You and Hummer Convert Over Cliff Yellow M3 where driver died hitting light pole at some ungodly speed brice curb I think about once or twice a week we see a DTM get in some minor or major collision or what not. You think your so experienced until you learn the hardway. For instance today, we put all these type R stickers and honda stickers over a 79 Ford Mark 8 (car worth $50, stickers $35) and decided to drag race my neighbor who thinks he is the worlds greatest driver. We he almost killed himself racing our POS. Locked up the brake, tried to turn, went off road, truck bouncing, came literly 1 inch away from hitting a light pole where it would have killed his brother who wasnt wearing a seat belt. His brother got out of the truck so fast and was in tears cause he was so scared. Scrared the shit out of me. It just reminded me how stupid it was for us to drag race like that. Sorry for going sort of OT but that was my experience for the day, thought I would share. Peace, Chris |

| wait who died? anyway. its true that we are sometimes careless or naive about what our cars can and cant do. just be careful and take your time and learn your car before you release its awsome power. |

| Like it was said, its alot about experience, especially for younger drivers, and even for the older ones. An M car is not a toy by any means, and requires a serious amount of driver skill. Because the car is so fluid, and can accelerate, turn and brake with such little fuss, it is hard to really tell when the car is at its limits, but when it reaches the limit and breaks, there is usually a lot of speed, and a lot of power to deal with, and only a very experienced driver knows exactly what to do to avoid the situation or get out of it. of course, when others hit you, they are simply f*cking idiots. ![]()

| pinoy baller, i realize that your accident happened under what would be a normal driving condition but for the most part accidents happen because you are young and cannot control your car, this happened to me last march and i know that the e46 is only an even more powerful car with a bit more "softness" in the feel so its easy to go much faster than you relaize you are going. that's just my opinion

| Yeah, things happen all the time, you never know when. A lot of times it's noones fault. Like I hit a freaking dog a couple weeks ago, the dog was stupid, or really excited to see an M3 and kissed my front bumper. It came out of nowhere. Last spring I did $8,000 of damage to my car because I couldn't drive it. I sure learned something there. |
