SMG Launch: E46 M3

Kickdown/burnout mode ie, sports mode on, traction off, and just flattern throttle. Is by far the most fun mode. Clutch mode doesn't matter. Aussie spec has the 3800 rpm launch rev. Tho from experience, stiff suspension+slightly bumpy surface = broken cv joint. Which requires half drive shaft replacement. Thankgod for warrenty!

i have an used 04 M3...and my launch control does not work...its an smg transmission...my cousin who has an 03 M3 told me that the 04's have a limit on the times you can use launch control... is it possible that the person that had the car before me used it up...and is it possible to reset the ecu somehow so i can use the LC again. anyone who has any suggestions thankyou

your cousin is wrong, there isn't a set amount of times you can actually use lc. some say that there's an amount of times you can use it before it voids your warranty but I've never had that problem. you are probably just doing it wrong

tnx for the reply...i put the car in S6...put one foot on the break...hold the stik in down shift...open the throttle with my other foot...let the rpms climb n let go of the stik n break...is that rite
