My buddies M3 w/ 19's = Wheel hop all through 1st

Ok ... so my buddy has a brand new M3. The car has less than 1500 miles on it. Up until only a few days ago, 18 inch M3 wheels with mediocre snow tires remained on the car. When he pushed the car hard through first gear with these tires, there was never wheel hop. Now, with the 19s, he gets INSANE wheel hop all the way through first. Once he hits second, the wheel hops ceases. How can he do to get rid of this wheel hop? Thanks a lot guys!

I think it might have a indepent rear axle. My Friend gets rear wheel hop also in his Dinan M6. He told he had independent axles, so that might be the problem. Sorry that I couldn't give you much info.

Try dropping the tire pressure a bit.

Sometimes you just gotta live with it/don't launch hard in first.

get an alignment. that should fix the problem.
