| Best Sounding Exhaust for E-46 M3? What is the best sounding Exhaust to get for the M3? I was thinking of getting the UUC Rasp-X. http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/raspx/ To take care of the rasp. But i would like a low growl, something that sounds MEAN AS HELL! haha if that is possiable. Thanks for the help. |

| the gruppe m titanium exhaust sounds really good. There was an e46 m3 on the cannonball that had it. It's very expensive though.

| Rasp-x isn't really an exhaust, its just a mid pipe/ cross pipe replacement. Tri flo is nice but loud (i personally have no problem with that!), but you could go a little bit less common and look for a Japanese Ti exhaust like Moteck, Gruppe M, Dixxis, Arqray or German one like Kelleners. Eisenmann Ti is also an exhaust that many people have said good things about. I haven't heard anything about the Eisenmann complete system (they do the entire system from just after the headers back), except that it does remove the rasp and is a hell of a lot lighter because the whole thing is in Ti as well, which no other manufacturer does. Weight saving can give you more of an advantage than increased power does! Kelleners makes a complete exhaust system as well, but you'd have to ask around about that, I have no knowledge of the system, except of a video clip. It would probably be expensive as well, but it is the only system that I know of that does the headers as well. Hiop was supposed to come out with headers but that is just vapourware. To get rid of the rasp (just the muffler or cat back won't do that), instead of rasp-x try the Supersprint or kelleners pipe. I saw a video clip (I'm sure many other people on the board have seen it) of an M3 with all the Kelleners goodies on it, and that machine was a beast. |
