Help with wiring a system to an E46?

Hey guys,
I got a bandpass box with 2 12' subs in it. Is there any special adapter I need to hook it up to the Harman Kardon system currently in my car? How do I get to the Battery. My car is in my signiture. Thanx

It depends on when your system was put in the car of 2003. It is quite possible that you have an entire fiber optical system, in which case you might be outta luck. But if it is the conventional system all you need is a line level converter. What it does is take the signal from your factory speakers and turns it into an RCA output, like if you had an aftermarket deck that did have RCA's. Then run the RCA's from that box into the side of your amp. Your battery should be on the right side of your trunk under that black plastic panel on the floor. Go to a stereo shop to get one, they are like $20.

How do I know if I have the Fiber Optic System? I have the Harman Kardon system.

The fiber optic system doesn't start to get implemented until (at the earliest) March production.

And even then, it's doubtful it will be that early. Just wire up the system like you would any other.
