Running 265 rear on a 323ci what are the consequences?

Im moving up from my stock 16 inch rims to 18 inch Lowenahart BR5's 235/40/18 up front and 265/30/18 in the rear. How much slower will my car be? Is the 265 in the rear a bad decision?

You will feel the difference in sluggishness with that extreme of a change. Time for some engine mods to offset the difference!!

Just how much slower are we talking. I know its going to be noticeablly slower I just don't want my car peforming like a hyundai.

Assuming you are running a 205/50/16, the overall diameter will be very close, so in that aspect and gearing, you will not notice a difference. The difference will be in the weight of the new ones being slightly heavier as well as wider to have more rolling resistance. I think you will be alright.
