I need some information on Chips for E46

Hey guys,
One of my friends was telling me about a chip that gives you like 50 hp for $300. Is this true? IF it is where can you get it and where do you install it to? Thanx

Unfortunately, no such chip exists. With the E46, the ECU (the chip) has to be reprogrammed; it can't be replaced. Things like the Shark Injector or your local friendly Dinan dealer can do this. With the E46, chip modifications will only yield around 10hp.

Ya he mentioned the Shark. What does this do to your car exactly? What do they do and how much?

The Shark Injector plugs into your modic port (location varies with year) and it goes through a uploading and downloading process for about 5 minutes.

First it uploads your stock software to the module for storage. Then it downloads the E46 software with the Conforti programing it has already programmed in it.

You can revert back to the stock software at any time if need be. The SI is the only software on the market for the E36/E46 that allows that flexibility.

Shark Injector is still not available for E46 325 and 330 models at this time.

The Shark Injector for the 325/330 (and Z3's) will be available in February.
