| Re: Rogue Engineering 330ti Dyno Results wow BEN ![]() I have 3.0L M3 motor, with everything that motor came with. Dinan chip, and Remus Exhaust. Of course stock 318ti diff. Oops, forgot to mention FAN DELETE ![]() here is my DYNO results ![]() But you have a lot more torque then mine... Quote:

| some ideas which i'm planning on trying... - 96 M3 exhaust manifold (tubular style instead of the current casts ones) - 96 M3 cats (instead of the 95 M3 cats) - Bored throttle body (not sure that will do much) - Rogue Engineering Power Pulleys - E30 3.46 LSD (not sure how it will change the figures, but i will change it) - 24 lb. injectors/ "new" cams/ software - Equal length headers (not sure if they'll be effective with cats, but we'll see) - Headwork (to which degree, not determined). slapping on forced induction is always an option, but i'm a fan of NA motors. |

| Ben, did you dyno with your 18" BBS LMs or stock 318ti rims? I heard tire size makes a difference when dyno-testing a car. From reading some threads on Bimmerforums.com, it seems like the bottleneck on your system is probably the exhaust system. If you replace your headers with units from HIOP or JP/Evosport, and go with a Track Pipe from Active Autowerke(owners report that the track pipe is quieter than the catalytic convertor setup), you can probably see some serious power from that setup. The Fan Clutch delete might also add a few ponies. Add in some schrick cams with proper software and you've got yourself an E46 M3 eater. BTW, when are the Rogue Engineering pullies coming out for the E36? I'm dying to get my hands on a set. Joe

No track pipe. No way, no how. Car needs to be emissions legal 100%. I'm not going to get my car caught by a roadside inspection and having the car impounded with a mega dollar fine. No schrick cams. I've got something else up my sleeve. Hiop headers are a step in the right direction (vs. the Supersprint version) but if I do headers, they're gonna have to be SMOOTH tubes, not pieces of welded-bends. I have a mfg. that can do this, but they'll have to be cheap. Basically, the average person can just throw tons of money doing all sorts of mods to a car. Some are cost effective (pulleys, intakes) and some are just plain too expensive (someone once posted that a bored TB was only good for 1hp). I'm hoping to trying a lot of mods out but only sticking with the ones that make financial sense for me. Fan Clutch delete is an option. I'll have to keep that one in mind. |

| Ben, do roadside inspections happen often in NJ? I haven't been pulled over yet*knock on wood* so I don't know how the state troopers conduct their "service". I was under the assumption that the track pipe would pass emissions, since the M3 is a relatively clean running car. Is there a possibility of Rogue Engineering headers in the future, or will they be custom made just for you? Do the cams you plan on getting boost low-end torque? It seems the schrick cams sometimes hurt low-end torque for high HP gains(like most cams out there for any car). Cams that boost low-end torque would be a nice change.

| How come everyone is worried about overheating? when we talk about Clutch Delete option? I've got my clutch and fan off my M3 engine, and never worried about overheating, and I live in FLA. Plus I've retained 318 radiator and M3 thermostat. Driven this car whole summer, and not even a single overheat yet. Temperature gage is stable (right in the middle).
