NE1 swap an E46 manual into an E36??

Can this be done with relative ease? Bolt holes, dimensions of stickshift, timing.....

I was cruising on the highway and was wishing for a 6th gear.......

It would probably be easier and cheaper to just get the european e36 m3 6 speed. I believe you can get everything you need for around 3500, forgot the website though.

Sweetness. That is probably a better idea. I hope to find a used one. (Like that 'll ever f&*^ing happen.) Just like me finding a used 3.38 LSD. Doh!!
